8. 1970 Volkswagen Bus — Wheeljack

The Volkswagen Type 2, more commonly known as the VW Transporter, Kombi or Bus is an iconic vehicle. Production started way back in 1949 and it quickly became really popular for its utility, practicality, and acres of space. It has starred in many movies and TV shows and the latest one is Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts.

In the movie, the rusty 1970 VW Bus plays the character named Wheeljack. Wheeljack is a scientist robot for the Autobots and an inventor of weapons. He always comes up with new inventions and weapon systems for the Autobots to use against the bad guys.

7. 1994 Ducati 916 — Arcee

The only motorcycle on this list is also one of the most iconic motorcycles ever built. The Ducati 916 is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful motorcycles of all time. Production began in 1994 and ended in 1998 and the roots of its development can be found in motorsport. Powered by a 916cc, L-twin engine, the motorcycle won four World Superbike Championships.

In the latest Transformers movie, the Ducati 916 plays the character of Arcee. Arce is quick, agile, and nimble. In the movie, she’s basically a sharpshooter with a blaster to shoot enemy robots, while going extremely fast.

6. 1994 Peterbilt 359 — Scourge

The 1994 Peterbilt 359 is one of the most badass Semi Trucks in existence. It is an American icon and an absolute favourite to modify in the American trucking scene. Truck enthusiasts would recognise this one from a mile away. On American roads, one can commonly find Peterbilt 359s loaded with chrome bumpers, grilles, steps, exhaust stacks, etc.

In the very first Transformers movie, the Hero robot Optimus Prime was portrayed by a Peterbilt 379. But Optimus’ original truck form is the Freightliner FLA. So, in the latest Transformers Movie, Optimus Prime is portrayed by a Freightliner FLA while the Peterbilt 359 plays the character of the film’s villain — Scourge. The way the truck is decked up gives it a very evil and badass post-apocalyptic vibe and many love this aspect.

5. GMC 3500 Tow Truck — Battletrap

The GMC 3500 is one of the most versatile trucks made by the American brand. The 3500 is one of those trucks that are capable of taking on multiple roles. In the latest Transformers movie, the GMC 3500 is a tow truck that wears its age. However, under the bonnet is a nice big block supercharged V8.

The seemingly unharmful 3500 tow truck is among the villains in the movie. After it has transformed into its robot form, Battletrap uses the towing equipment as a weapon and the towing chain becomes a whip!

4. Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 — Mirage

The Porsche 911 Carrera is gorgeous. But the RS 3.8 variant is considered one of the most beautiful 911 models of all time and it came with a widebody from the factory! 3. Freightliner FLA — Optimus Prime

The Freightliner FLA is one of the most iconic American trucks. It is popular simply because it is a good-looking truck. However, the bigger reason for its popularity is its role in the Transformers series. The 1987 Freightliner FLA cabover truck plays the role of Optimus Prime, the most badass Transformer character yet. He’s the lead character in all the movies.
