UAE petrol prices for December 2023 are AED 2.77 for EPlus 91, AED 2.85 for Special 95, and AED 2.96 for Super 98. The price of Diesel in the UAE is currently AED 3.19 per litre. These prices come into effect on 01 December 2023 and are expected to remain till the end of the month. Prices of petrol and diesel in the UAE change every month and new fuel prices in the UAE are expected to arrive in January 2024.
In November 2023, prices of petrol decreased by up to AED 0.41 while the price of diesel dropped by AED 0.15. Now, in December 2023, prices of petrol have further decreased by up to AED 0.08 while the price of diesel has dropped by AED 0.23. This is the second consecutive month where the fuel prices have decreased.

Getting a full tank of fuel for your car has now become slightly less expensive. One would have to shell out between AED 4 & AED 30 lesser for a full tank, depending on the size of the tank. With this price drop, the per kilometre running costs too decrease by a sizeable margin.
Before 2015, fuel prices were highly subsidised by the government, and this protected prices from fluctuating. However, in September 2015, it was liberalised to align with global oil prices. Fuel prices in the UAE are decided by the Fuel Price Committee and we can expect more changes over the next few months.
