New MG Whale Launched In The UAE: A Stylish Coupe-SUV

MG Motor in collaboration with Inter Emirates Motors, has launched the new Whale coupe-SUV in the UAE. Prices for the new SUV are expected to start from AED 88,000. Bookings for the MG Whale are already underway, with deliveries expected to start soon.

The MG Whale is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.

Exterior Design, Features & Colours

MG has drawn inspiration from the majestic Blue Whale, the largest living mammal on Earth, and its exterior features several whale-inspired cues. The MG Whale’s large hexagonal grille with vertical bars is reminiscent of the baleen plates of a blue whale.

The grille is flanked by LED headlights that are shaped like whale eyes, and there are also whale-inspired daytime running lights that are called “Baleen DRLs.” The MG Whale also has a coupe-like silhouette with a sloping roofline and a fastback rear end. This gives it a sporty look, and it also helps to improve aerodynamics.

The star attraction is the dual 12.3-inch curved panoramic screen for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. The infotainment screen or voice commands control most functions for a clutter-free layout.
