Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the super plates auction for private vehicles. A total of 90 special vehicle licensing plates of two, three, four and five digits are on offer at the upcoming 114th Open Auction in Dubai.
Super Plate Auction Details
The auction offers fancy number plates categorised by the following codes: [AA-I-J-M-N-O-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-Z]. The highlight of the auction includes the super licensing plates AA 30 priced at AED 1,800,000, along with O 48 and T 64, priced at AED 800,000 each. Here is the complete list of plates that are part of the open hall auction.
When Is The Auction?
Registration of bidders for this hall auction has begun from 25 December 2023. The bidding starts at 04:30 PM on 30 December 2023 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. As mentioned earlier, the auction is conducted as an open hall event.
Registration
Online Registration: Prospective bidders can register for the auction through RTA’s website, Dubai Drive app, or any of RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres at Umm Al Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha.
Event Location Registration: Registration will also be available at the bidding hall from 2:00 PM. All participants must successfully register to proceed with the super plates auction.
Terms & Conditions
For new users looking to acquire a special number at the super plate auction in, you’ll need to ensure you have a valid traffic file in the Emirate of Dubai. Additionally, you will be required to deposit AED 25,000 via cheque, which will be returned if you’re unsuccessful in your bid. There’s also a non-refundable entrance fee of AED 120 for the auction.
If you win a number plate, you’ll have 10 working days to settle the bid amount. Failure to do so will result in forfeiting your deposit and being placed on a defaulters list. Remember, a 5% VAT will be added to the final price of your winning plate.
The good news is that there’s no limit on the number of plates you can own! However, super plates auction seating is limited, and priority is given to registered bidders.
